Rotate or flip images

Turn sideways photos upright, or mirror an image horizontally or vertically. Works for one or many images at once.

100% private: processed on your device, nothing is uploaded.

Rotate clockwise

Applied to all images. JPG and WebP files are saved at the chosen quality.

How it works

  1. Choose how far to rotate, and whether to flip the image.
  2. Choose or drag your images into the box above.
  3. Check the previews and download the rotated images.

Why is my photo sideways?

Cameras and phones often store the orientation as a separate tag instead of rotating the pixels. Some programs and websites ignore that tag, so the photo appears sideways. After rotating here, the pixels themselves are in the correct direction, so the photo is upright everywhere.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between rotating and flipping?

Rotating turns the whole image around its centre. Flipping (mirroring) swaps left and right, or top and bottom, like a reflection. A mirrored selfie can be corrected with “flip horizontally”.

Does rotating reduce quality?

PNG stays lossless. JPG and WebP are saved again at the quality you choose; at 90% or higher the difference is not visible.

Can I rotate several photos at once?

Yes. All images you add are rotated the same way. Use “Download all” to get them in one ZIP file.
